Stansted Airport

Stansted is the third busiest airport in the UK and has one terminal which services over 22 million passengers a year. The airport is also home to many of the leading low cost airlines. The terminal facilities include several bureaux de change, shops, restaurants and bars as well as internet access. If you are driving to the airport you will find it well sign posted and easily accessible by road.

The airport is around 40 miles to the north east of London and is close to Chelmsford and Stevenage.

Chelmsford

Chelmsford is a lively and thriving town located 31 miles northeast of London in the county of Essex. The town has a rich heritage and many beautiful green open spaces, good shopping facilities and a vibrant nightlife.

Chelmsford Cathedral

On first sight it appears to look like a modest parish church, but when you step inside you will be amazed by the sense of space and light.

It became a cathedral in 1914 when the Diocese of Chelmsford was created.

It is the second smallest Anglican cathedral in England behind Derby Cathedral.

The full name of the cathedral is Cathedral Church of St Mary the Virgin, St Peter and St Cedd.

If you are visiting Chelmsford it is definitely worth a visit.
